WHAT YOU CAN DO

Behind the Scenes

In between the four group members that were brought together to create a final project for the year back in November, the sympathies we felt towards the homeless people seen on the streets of Dublin was something we all felt deeply. Seeing the world and ourselves having to pretend that these people do not exist is understandably and unfortunately a very common scene in the streets of Dublin. And we also all had agreed that using this opportunity to create something that will be shown to the communities of both within the university and potentially some people around the country and even the entire world, that we wanted to make something that at least gives the people that sees this as an indicator of what more could be done by each individual on how to approach the homeless crisis not just seen in Dublin, but also around the world.

Inspirations

One of the good news that can be shared about the current homelessness climate in Dublin is of the strong communities that have developed that reflects on the history of how he people have cared for the homeless - different charities of both yound and older generations have continued to come together as a community to help those in need.

Inspired by organisations such as the Dublin Homelessness Awareness, Mustard Seed Soup Kitchen and others like the Peter McVerry trust have given us the insight that was required to display how people that volunteer are doing their best to contribute in ways that they can, and they all share a common message in that they couldn't appreciate enough for any contributions that goes their way.
